If you're looking for something to really get some tought stains out then these plastic free UNsponges are the answer! These compostable sponges will clean pots, pans, sinks, ovens, ceramic cooktops and glass thoroughly and gently.
UnSponges are plastic free alternatives to disposable dish sponges – ideal for eco-friendly cleaning or a zero waste home – they also make great house warming gifts for green-conscious friends!
Each sponge is handmade from the hardwearing fabric of a coffee sack that has reached the end of its journey. The tough jute top is stitched to a canvas liner and pure cotton back before being filled with a brushed cotton core and finished with a woven label - ready to tackle your kitchen, bathroom or any tough job you need it for.
To maintain your sponge simply throw it in the laundry with your regular wash and air dry.
How long will a Heavy Duty UnSponge last?
With regular dish soap and cleaners the average life is 3-4 months, with bleaches and heavy chemicals up to 3 months.
Is it compostable?
All parts of the Heavy Duty UnSponge are plant based so it will break down completely with time. If you'd like to compost it just cut it into small pieces and shred it with your fingers.
- Materials: This UnSponge is made from 100% cotton with a waffle base, triple flannel core and a cotton canvas and hessian (burlap) top.

WHY I LOVE THIS
Did you know that a lot of cleaning sponges and clothes contain plastic (I know right, wtf!) so whilst you're scrubbing away, little parts of your chosen cleaner are breaking off and going into the water system.
That means microplastics are potentially going to end up in the ocean, just from you doing some washing up! As soon as I discovered this I switched to a plastic free sponge right away but unfortunately the one I bought came wrapped in plastic (ahhh!).
That's why I set out to stock an amazing range of cleaning product that are plastic free and from companies that care! Don't forget, nothing will be sent in any plastic packaging either!
